Sausage and Chutney Pinwheels

Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry

180g of veggie sausages

Your favorite festive chutney

Either tamari or melted vegan butter and smoked paprika

Alternatives:

Swap the sausages for stuffing, mashed vegetable burgers, or bubble & squeak.

Methode
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan setting).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet, then spoon on the chutney until lightly covered.
  3. Mash up the veggie sausages (or your chosen alternative) and spread it over the chutney-covered pastry. Think of it as creating three layers: the pastry, the chutney, and the sausages.
  4. Roll up the pastry to form a long sausage shape. Using a sharp knife, cut this into two, then repeat the process until you have around 12-16 pinwheels.
  5. Brush each pinwheel with either tamari or a mixture of melted vegan butter and 1 tsp of smoked paprika.
